To make your first request with TICON AI, create an account, verify your email address, and top up your wallet in Bangladeshi taka through EPS. Then create an API key in the app, copy it when shown, and keep it in an environment variable. With that key you can list models and send a chat request using curl.
You need an account with a funded wallet and one API key. This takes about five minutes.
1. Create an account and top up
Sign up on the website, verify your email, then open the app and top up your wallet. Top-ups are paid in BDT through EPS (Bangladesh local payment methods). The wallet is prepaid: a request is accepted only if the wallet can cover it.
2. Create an API key
In the app, open API keys and create a key. The full key is shown once, so copy it immediately. It looks like this:
sk-aip-<prefix>-<secret>Store it in an environment variable, never in source code:
export AIP_API_KEY="sk-aip-…"3. List the models you can call
curl -sS https://api.ticonai.com/v1/models \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $AIP_API_KEY"The response is an OpenAI-style list. Pick an id and use it as model below.
4. Make your first request
curl -sS https://api.ticonai.com/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $AIP_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "your-model-id",
"messages": [{ "role": "user", "content": "Say hello in one sentence." }],
"max_tokens": 64
}'A successful response is 200 with a body of this shape (values are illustrative):
{
"id": "chatcmpl-req_0123456789abcdef",
"object": "chat.completion",
"created": 1767225600,
"model": "your-model-id",
"choices": [
{ "index": 0, "message": { "role": "assistant", "content": "Hello!" }, "finish_reason": "stop" }
],
"usage": {
"prompt_tokens": 14,
"completion_tokens": 3,
"total_tokens": 17,
"prompt_tokens_details": { "cached_tokens": 0 }
}
}The cost of this request, usage priced at the model's rates, has been debited from your wallet. See the usage page in the app, or Billing and wallet.
5. Try the Anthropic format
The same key works on /v1/messages:
curl -sS https://api.ticonai.com/v1/messages \
-H "x-api-key: $AIP_API_KEY" \
-H "anthropic-version: 2023-06-01" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "your-model-id",
"max_tokens": 64,
"messages": [{ "role": "user", "content": "Say hello in one sentence." }]
}'Next steps
